Pilot! Snow White

Changes, a Regina/Emma fic

Title: Changes
Pairing: Regina/Emma
Rating: PG
Genre: Fluff/humor
Description: Regina and Emma try to tell Henry they're in a relationship, with mixed success

“So, Henry,” Emma said, looking towards her son. “What we’re trying to say is that we’re in a relationship now.”

Henry blinked once, then twice, looking between his two mothers. “OK,” he said, eyebrows furrowed, “I’m confused.”

Regina stepped in. “Henry,” she started, slowly, “remember, it’s perfectly OK for two women or two men to be in a relationship with one another-“

“No, no, I know THAT,” Henry interrupted, waving off his adoptive mother, “It’s just, you’re the Evil Queen and Emma’s Snow White’s daughter; how can enemies go from hating each other to being in a relationship?”

Emma and Regina looked at each other. Even though the truce had been working so far, some people were taking it a bit harder than others, and Henry was one of the hardest. He had begun to accept Regina more and more as his adoptive mother and that she indeed loved him, but he was still wary and claimed that this wasn’t how things were supposed to be.

“People can change, Henry,” Emma pointed out. “Just look at how different Mary Margaret was from Snow White, Mom,” stumbling over what to call her estranged mother.

“That was the curse, though. Mom framed Snow White, killed the Huntsman! How can you date someone who did that.”

Emma buried her head in her folded arms on the table. “Well that tequila we had sure helped” she muttered before Regina jabbed her with her elbow.  “What, I was just saying.”

“Henry,” Regina started again, “Do you believe I’ve changed?”

                Henry hesitated briefly before nodding.

“Since I’ve changed, do you believe I can have feelings for Emma and want to pursue a relationship with her?”

Henry shook his head, and Regina sighed. Apparently this would be harder than they’d hoped.                “So, Henry,” Emma said, looking towards her son. “What we’re trying to say is that we’re in a relationship now.”
